Hello, I’m Louise, founder of Simply Organised
A bit about me
Simply Oganised was born out of my passion for organisation and a firm belief that by having our home in order we create a calmer state of mind. As a busy working Mum with two teenage boys, I understand how our hectic lives can get in the way of how we actually want our homes to be, and the feelings of overwhelm that arise when faced with too much ‘stuff’. I am a serial home renovator, and we have moved in and out of 6 houses in the last 10 years - so you could say I have got decluttering, packing and moving down to a fine art! Making the big decision to downsize and move to Devon in 2020 was a real lightbulb moment for me, and an opportunity for the whole family to simplify our belongings and learn to let go of the things we no longer need or enjoy.
I love the sense of calm being organised brings, not just to me, but the whole household and I truly love helping other people organise their space and fall back in love with their homes. The biggest hurdle is often knowing how and where to start. As a trained therapist and bereavement counsellor, I listen carefully to your needs, and work patiently and sensitively to guide you through each of the steps needed to create and maintain a clutter free life. I also specialise in helping people who are having a hard time to declutter gently and effectively, so they can live a much calmer, easier life. Let’s declutter together so you can relax in your home – no matter how much stuff you currently own.
And out of hours…
An adventurer at heart I love to try new things. At weekends you can find me white water kayaking on the river Dart, walking and swimming on Dartmoor with my husband and two teenage boys, or eating and drinking with friends. I play an active part in my community and currently volunteer for the local Community Fridge, saving tonnes of food waste from landfill each year. Living between the Moor and the sea, I feel incredibly lucky to have found my forever home here in South Devon (even if the jam will always go on first, on my Devon cream tea!)
